About the Artist

Jennifer J L Jones (b.1971 Alexandria, Virginia) is an American artist specializing in painting, drawing, and mixed media. Raised between rural Virginia and the east coast of Florida, she has always found inspiration in natural landscapes. Jones received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, where she developed her signature style.

An exploration of beauty and energy, Jones' mixed media paintings are meditations on the duality of nature - both its physical reality and intangible spirituality. Employing multiple layers of abstraction and combined mediums, including a refined glazing technique, she creates rich, organic patinas that evoke universal emotional and physical connecting points for the observer.

Her layered approach results in elegant, ever-shifting paintings combining poetic, sensual grace with consistently bold execution. Jones' long-established career has been highlighted in exhibitions throughout the U.S. and international galleries ranging from NYC, L.A., San Francisco, Santa Fe, Atlanta, Chicago, Martha's Vineyard, Dallas, Ft Lauderdale, Ponte Vedra Beach, Paris and Barbizon, France, London and more. Her work has been featured in fine art fairs and expos such as the Affordable Art Fair (London, UK), Art Wynwood (Miami), Concept Art Fair (Miami), Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and The Hamptons, NY. The Jacksonville International Airport also featured Jones' artwork in its cultural gallery.

Lauderdale, FL at New River Fine Art.

In 2023, her paintings were exhibited at several London Art Fairs, and the HWG Fall Show, and were highlighted at the Art is Gold invitational benefit at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, GA, and the Cultural Arts Center in Jacksonville, FL.
